Flight delays and lost luggage got this trip off to a non-auspicious beginning. We divided the clothes for all 5 of us across the three bags that we checked. Normally we put one outfit each in our carry-on, but I assumed that all three bags could not get lost. - famous last words. We are getting by, but can't wait to get clean clothes.
Last night we went out to ride the London Eye. Both the ride itself and the movie before hand were a big hit. Afterward the kids ran off some energy in the playground. We got to bed around eleven and the kids woke up about 8:30. Can getting over jet lag really be this easy?
This morning we planned to start off at Westminister Abbey, but weren't thinking about the fact that it is Sunday - can't tour a church on Sunday. We headed to Buckingham Palace for the changing of the guard. What a mob scene. Devlin is choosing to be a grumpy pill. She has informed me that she only enjoys pool and beach vacations. Luckily we don't let an eight year old rule our family life.
