Make plans - but be flexible

Our final stop in Sandusky, OH was intended to be a lot of fun, and somewhat educational. The fun part was obvious - the largest water park in the world (if you believe the ads). The boys and I are water park fiends. Devlin runs hot and cold on her attitude toward slides, but does love the wave pool.

The educational part of this stop was going to be the glacial grooves.

Our plan was to spend some time in the water park in the morning, break for lunch and head over to explore the grooves and return to the resort for dinner and more water park time. Turns out it was not going to be as easy as we hoped. It was a short drive, and then a ferry. Seemed like it was going to take a bigger chunk out of our day than we envisioned. The kids were having so much fun. We were tired after the 7 hour drive the previous day. In the end we decided to just stay at the resort. We played some mini golf and spent some time in the arcade - and I managed to sneak in a massage at the spa.

We arrived home on Sunday afternoon. Finn arrived home from the kennel on Monday. We are settling back into every day life and preparing for our next adventure.
